Al Gorham is passionate about photography. The love of all things photography was instilled in him in childhood while watching his father develop pictures in their basement. The love grew with his first film camera, and has continued through the digital age.
With many years of experience in computer software development, Al found a natural fit between the camera and the computer. He is much at ease with Photoshop, Lightroom, and the web. In 2008, Al earned the Adobe Photoshop Expert certification. Currently, he teaches digital photography and Photoshop at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC. Al also presents weekend seminars on photography and Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
His love of portraiture and interest in people is reflected in his classic, yet simple style. His objective is to capture the true personalities of his subjects. Al looks at each assignment as a new opportunity to create artwork.
