Aldert Root
1880(1)-1961
Note: This is a stub entry, please contact wcpssmoore@gmail.com with any info to help make the entry complete. The following was taken from the Raleigh Times article dated Sept. 4, 1978.
"Aldert Root became the state's first medical inspector in 1914. He was said to be the state's first pediatrician. Root was instrumental in the founding of the Ravenscroft school. He died at 80 in 1961."
- The Raleigh Times, Sept. 4, 1978
Note: Certificates of immunization for children entering school (1950's) suggest that Dr Root and Charles R. Bugg were in practice at the same offices.
