Avery V. Baucom
-1963

"A. V. Baucom was a druggist in Apex for 63 years. Baucom first took a job in Apex for 50 cents a day to get what he called a "toe-hold" in the town. He went on to be elected as a state senator for three terms. He was a member of the Wake Board of Commissioners and served 31 years on the Wake Board of Education. He died in 1963."
