James Wesley York
1912-2004
NCSU graduate and founder of J. W. York and Co., developers of Cameron Village Shopping Center (an early suburban shopping center) and many other projects in Raleigh, NC. Served on Raleigh Board of Education 1957-1963. May have provided the parcel upon which the school bearing his name (opened 1965) sits.
