Today like never before, robust mental activity can be attributed to better overall well being and future health. The Alzheimer's Association says, "Mentally stimulating activities strengthen brain cells and the connections between them, and may even create new nerve cells."

Lifelong Learning with Community Schools program is available at eight community schools strategically located throughout the county, offering noncredit courses for adults ages 16 years old to 109 years young!

You, too, can create some new brain cells by learning to speak a new language, dance Salsa, or cook, Italian style as topics are wide-ranging and emphasis is on learning for both business and pleasure.

Evening classes make your mental exercise easy and convenient. Sharing common interests with other people creates lasting friendships.

To contact or visit the schools, view site coordinator information and directions. You may also see the Community Schools Map for an aerial view.

To view the catalog immediately, see our Expand catalog of evening classes available, electronically, at the link on the right side of this page or, in print, at any Wake County School or Public Library.
